About:
lm_sensors provides essential tools for monitoring
the temperatures, voltages, and fans of Linux
systems with hardware monitoring devices. It
contains a library for sensors access
(libsensors), a command-line tool for sensor
reporting (sensors), and a daemon (sensord). It
also contains scripts for sensor hardware
identification and fan speed control.
Release focus: Major feature enhancements
Changes:
Support for the Fintek F71805F and Winbond W83687THF Super-I/O integrated sensors was added. Dozens of cleanups and bugfixes were backported from Linux 2.6, in particular to the w83627hf and w83792d drivers. On the I2C protocol front, PEC support was completely rewritten and PEC support was added to the lm90 driver (as was done in Linux 2.6.) The speed and output quality of the decode-dimms script were much improved. Note that libsensors now requires libsysfs for Linux 2.6 support.
