I've been using Windowmaker for the past 5 years and have to say that it is
THE best Windowmanager I've found.

Cygwin

Here is what I had to do for cygwin. I couldn't find any other help so if
there is a better way please let me know...
run configure as normal
edit ./WINGs/wapplication.c to comment out line 39 - setlocale(LC_ALL,
"");
make
make install
ln /usr/bin/cygpng10.lib /usr/bin/cygpng2.lib
( if you don't have cygpng10.lib then you'll want to install it. )
wmaker.inst
Edit your startxwin.sh script or whatever you use to start the window
manager.

Shouldn't 0.64.0 be called 0.63.2? In the homepage it is reported as
"Mostly bugfixes, a few updated potfiles, a lot of i18n fixes, and other
miscellaneous things"...

I MEAN to be obnoxious when I also here mention
the inability to input characters such as å/ä/ö/ü
in WINGs gadgets.

It looks like their domain host is down right now, so you can't resolve
windowmaker.org. I found this
mirror site to use in the mean time.

It has the features I need and the speed I expect.
