About:
ttylinux is a minimalistic GNU/Linux distribution that can fit in 4 MB of disk space. It contains software needed to log into an ISP by modem or ISDN and surf the Web. The minimum hardware requirement is a 486SX with 10 MB of RAM for a ramdisk setup or 5 MB of RAM for a hard disk setup.

Your project is a great starting point for other projects. And it is realy fast... only a few seconds with cd-boot or from compact flash up to the login.
