About:
SHFS (sshfs) is a simple and easy-to-use Linux kernel module which allows you to mount remote filesystems using a plain shell (SSH) connection. It supports some nice features like file cache for access speedup, and a Perl server, etc.

[»] great great thing!

Once it works (had to take the current alpha version to make it work under a test suse 8.2 system), it's very useful and great to work on remote systems. No more need of ftp or scp :-)

It would be great if it could be included in the main kernel tree...
