If 1.3.4 is really a stable release you should update it to ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/libtool/ and not to ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/libtool/. Doing this I'm pretty sure people will continue using 1.3.3. From the site: "The latest official alpha release is available for testing from alpha.gnu.org or one of its mirrors..

AFAIK, the latest stable is 1.3.5. And sure, the URL should point to ftp.gnu.org and not to alpha.gnu.org-it seems that GNU people do not
delete alpha releases even if they have been already published as 'release' versions.
