Screenshot About:
KNOPPIX is a bootable CD with a collection of GNU/Linux software, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI devices, and other peripherals. It can be used as a Linux demo, educational CD, rescue system, etc. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk due to on-the-fly decompression.

[»] knoppix release is a year old
by famre - Feb 12th 2008 07:53:44

Knoppix 5.1.1 came out over a year ago ...
V5.1.1-2007-01-04 Why is it posted to freshmeat now? A year between updates is a long time for any project. Will a new version be available soon?

What a fantastic collection of stuff that it has too. I have heard that NX by NoMachine will be included in the new release. (a little bird told me!)
<P>
I'll definitely keep my eyes open then.

[»] How to save from login to login
by George - Nov 13th 2002 13:50:27

How do I set up Knoppix to save my settings so
that the next time I boot up, I don't have to
start all over again? Is the web site down? I
have not been able to get to it in a week.

George
