I blogged it
by TeeAhr1 - Mar 17th 2008 08:59:11
Hey there, just wanted to let you know that you've been blogged! I just
posted part 1 of what I hope will be a 2 or 3 part series on getting
started with cmus. Check
it out!

flac tags
by TeeAhr1 - Mar 16th 2008 06:54:09
Not reading flac tags here. Using version 2.2.0-1 Ubuntu package. Is it
just me?
btw, this is a great program. I installed it on my server when I was
upgrading my desktop and couldn't use Amarok. That was two weeks ago, and I
haven't reinstalled Amarok yet :) Five stars!

Flac reads tags just fine for me. There was a compatibility issue with
some versions of the flac library which I fixed. Try this snapshot:

Thanks for the good work!
(I am using package version 2.0.4 on Debian Etch)

Simply the best
by dirq - Aug 25th 2006 05:05:36
This is simply the best music player there is. It's fast, extremely stable,
the playlist features rock, it works nicely on big endian machines, and
it's very easy to use.
Screw xmms and amarok. Give this player a try. You won't regret it.
Don't let the fact that it's a console app scare you away.

Choosing another player?
by mjoAlleyCat - Jan 26th 2006 21:45:17
Great player! Especially the sorting and search functions. Is there a way
to tell cmus what program to call for playing the selected music-file?

Great console application

Congratulations !
I like this player, I just have to practice the command line a bit more to
feel comfortable with cmus.
Regards

You can customize colors, see:

ubuntu
by paxmark1 - May 17th 2005 21:17:24
I really would like a good ncurses player for mp3's.
Compiles well in Mandrake. I am abandoning Mandrake however - and
compilation does not work well in Kubuntu. Will wait for a package. It
does work well in Mandrake.
Thanks, Peace

What do you mean? Compilation either works or it doesn't.
And compilation of cmus on (k)ubuntu works for me. (Dapper Drake).
