Screenshot About:
CD-Me is an X application for creating ISO images, burning CDs, creating jewel case inserts, and editing ID3 tags from MP3 files that you have already ripped or downloaded. The program also integrates a very simple MP3 player and volume control, uses M3U playlists as the standard file format, and contains toolbar icons for loading your playlist into XMMS or starting GRip.

[»] Needs Work
by Bob Shaffer II - Mar 23rd 2007 07:54:54

I need to do some work on this project. Much of the updated source code for this project was lost in a recent hard drive crash and the code I'm working from has some bugs in it that had previously been corrected. I also need to make some changes in order to get ATAPI CD writer support for 2.6 kernels working properly. Right now, the code *should* be in good working order except for small bugs, but you'll just have to download and install the most recent sources to find out for sure.

ATAPI CDs are handled automatically (again) by cdrtools since about a year. There is a workaround for the Linux-2.6 kernels

[»] attn: kernel-2.6 users

If you are using the 2.6 kernel, have an IDE burner, and are not using SCSI emulation (ide-scsi) there is no reason that CD-Me won't work for you. However, the program looks only at SCSI devices when listing burners so you will have to edit your INI file (/etc/cdme.ini and/or ~/.cdme.ini) so that
"burner device=/dev/hdXX" (the path to your actual burner)
before starting CD-Me or you will not be able to burn anything. I am going to look into possible ways to list IDE burners along with SCSI devices for the next release.
