About:
BG-Rescue Linux is a Busybox and uClibc-based rescue system with a 2.4 series Linux kernel. It supports full read/write support for NTFS using ntfs-3g and limited but fast NTFS support using the NTFS 2.1.6b kernel driver. It is loaded either from two floppy disks or from one 2.8MB El Torito CD. The system runs entirely in RAM. It supports a wide range of hardware (including SATA) and filesystems (including ext2/3 and xfs) and can serve as a full backup/restore system for MS Windows systems that use FAT12/16/32 or NTFS. It also includes many utilities.

Has anyone tried Xpde (a MS XPlike windowing system) on this RescueLinux? How did they work together? How did you launch xpde while in Rescue ?

[»] Evaluation of the project
by rasasi - Mar 3rd 2004 04:34:58

I had tried it two releases ago or so, and i've just dowloaded the latest.

The one I used worked quite fine, it was a comprehensive rescue utility.

I'm eager to try the latest one.

I have an only suggestion, inclusion of parted in order to resize, move partitions, etc.

Thank you for your work.

Thank You for Your comment. You are definitely right.
In reply I added many new keyboard layouts.
The new release 0.3.1 contains 30 keyboard layouts.
